Qantaslink has extensive daily flights from Brisbane to Hervey Bay. Virgin Blue and Jetstar operate direct jet services from Sydney to the Fraser Coast (Hervey Bay Airport), with convenient connections from most Australian capital cities.

By Rail
Queensland Rail operates regular services from Brisbane, Rockhampton and Cairns into Maryborough West. Transfers to Hervey Bay can be included via the Trainlink bus service, which connects with every train. The Tilt Train will also stop at Howard for pre-booked passengers. By Bus
Greyhound (tel: 1300 473 946) and Premier (tel: 13 34 10) operates several northbound (from Brisbane) and southbound (from Cairns) services each day through Maryborough, Hervey Bay and Childers. Greyhound also operates daily services from the Sunshine Coast to the Fraser Coast via Rainbow Beach. Greyhound operates daily services from the Fraser Coast to Brisbane Airport while Tory's Tours (tel: 07 4128 6500) operates between the Fraser Coast, Brisbane Airport and the Brisbane CBD.
