  • Q. Can anyone live in a retirement village?

    A. To gain access to our retirement villages you must have reached 60 years of age. If you have questions about eligibility please call us to discuss.

  • Q. Can I make changes to my home?

    A. It is up to our village manager to decide to ensure standards and regulations are met.

  • Q. Do Fraser Shores Retirement Villages have rental properties available?

    A. No

  • Q. Are pets allowed?

    A. It’s up to our village manager to decide, but generally we allow cats and small dogs as long as they are house trained and controlled by the resident.

  • Q. Are there really no taxes or stamp duties to be paid?

    A. That is correct. There is no stamp duty or GST payable on homes purchased. In fact, the only additional cost for possessions above the price of the home is a one-time legal fee for a new build or preloved home, for preparation and registration of your title on the home in the Queensland Titles Office. This fee is fully refunded should you decide not to proceed with this option.

  • Q. Are there any costs involved if I leave?

    A. There is a deferred management fee or exit fee which you pay when you leave the village. This fee covers the cost of all facilities and services you’ve enjoyed during your stay. The fee is calculated as follows. In years 1, 2 & 3 in increments of 5%, year 4@ 3% and year 5@ 2% giving a total after 5 years of 20% which is applicable to your original purchase price only. This is low and economical with regards to what we have to offer. You also share in the capital gain. The exit fee over time is negated by the Capital Growth Structure.

  • Q. Are there transport services available?

    A. Fraser Shores Retirement Villages are ideally located within close proximity to public transport and shopping centres, hospital, medical, sporting and social venues.

  • Q. Do you have an onsite emergency response?

    A. All of our villages have a 24-hour emergency alert system that is monitored on site. We have staff available 24/7 to respond to the initial emergency and escalate the response as required.

  • Q. Can I have visitors stay over?

    A. Friends and family are most welcome. For extended stays it is best to speak to our village manager regarding any guidelines.

  • Q. Is there caravan or boat storage?

    A. Yes, our villages have available for private individual owners caravan, boat or trailer storage sheds (subject to availability) along with a common area to park caravans or leisure vehicles.
