Fish off the beach, creek or pier. Take a guided tour or a fishing charter to experience some of Australia’s best sport and game fishing.

Dotted along the Hervey Bay Esplanade are cosmopolitan and alfresco cafés, boutiques, shops, parklands, picnic areas, playgrounds, the famous and much loved Urangan Pier and a vibrant marina precinct.

Stroll along the wonderful Urangan Pier, which stretches almost a kilometre out to sea, with spectacular views of the Bay and the opportunity to spot schools of fish, stingrays and even pods of dolphins.

Discover nature, art and history at its best by visiting the Hervey Bay Botanic Gardens. 26 hectares of serene, sub-tropical rainforest displaying plants of the Wide Bay and Great Sandy Straits regions. It incorporates the Orchid House, with a collection of around 20,000 orchids set amongst its beautiful gardens. The award winning Hervey Bay Historical Village and Museum complex gives a fascinating glimpse into the bay’s past. For lovers of art Hervey Bay’s Regional Gallery houses new exhibitions approximately every 6-8 weeks allowing people of all ages to enjoy the arts.
